The Modeko construction method uses prefabricated wood-concrete wall modules with integrated thermal insulation. A modern, fast, and efficient solution – an ideal alternative to traditional building systems, adapted to all contemporary living needs.

External Wall Layer

  • Wood-concrete panel – a mixture of wood chips and cement acts as a protective, sound and thermal insulating layer. This layer shields the internal thermal insulation and the concrete core from external influences while ensuring the wall’s vapor permeability.
  • Vapor permeable, resistant to moisture, mold, and pests.
  • Easy to finish with standard exterior façade systems and offers high certified load-bearing capacity for various mounted elements, stone, or ventilated façades.

CORE FILLING

  • Thermal insulation material – wood fiber, graphite-expanded polystyrene (EPS), or polyurethane foam for nearly zero energy consumption.
  • Concrete – used to fill the load-bearing core of the wall.
  • The wall thickness depends on the desired level of energy efficiency of the building. We offer a wide range of customizable dimensions capable of achieving nearly zero energy consumption.

INTERNAL WALL LAYER

  • Wood-concrete panel – a mixture of wood chips and cement acts as a protective, sound and thermal insulating layer.
  • Suitable for cutting grooves and routing wall installations.
  • Easy to finish with standard thin-coat plasters and smoothing compounds.
  • Suitable for fast and simple installation of various interior decorative wall coverings, direct installation of plasterboard without substructure, ceramic tiles, microcement, stone, etc.
  • Provides high load-bearing capacity for mounting all necessary wall elements without additional reinforcement.

Modeko walls have excellent U-values, ensuring lower heating and cooling costs for future users. The wood-concrete exterior and interior layers optimally absorb and release moisture, guaranteeing a high level of climate comfort and pleasant indoor conditions throughout all seasons. Our system is fully optimized compared to traditional methods of thermal insulation and façade construction, as the thermal insulation is precisely integrated during production, free of thermal bridges, eliminating the need for long-term scaffolding on-site, adhesive application, and mechanical fixing with dowels. In addition, the construction process is significantly less dependent on weather conditions thanks to much faster assembly and prefabricated elements produced in a controlled environment.

Modeko walls remain dry throughout the entire year. The elements are designed to ensure continuous moisture transfer from the interior of the space outward through the transverse wood-concrete layers, without forming condensation. Thanks to their wood-concrete structure, the walls retain minimal moisture, absorbing only 0.7 kg/m² of water while also having the capacity to dry out at a rate of 2.1 kg/m² per hour. This creates a significant advantage compared to other building materials—especially in cases where the walls become wet due to adverse weather conditions.
